Standing out as an artist today requires more than just talent—it demands intention.
A thoughtful and deliberate approach can leave a lasting impression in a world oversaturated with content.
Success isn’t merely about producing more but about creating significant moments, like timed releases or inviting collectors into your studio, that build anticipation and deepen engagement.
Rather than focusing on frequency, prioritize quality—work that resonates on a deeper level with your audience.
Think long-term.
Create art with the goal of endurance, aiming for longevity, not just quick recognition.
This approach not only keeps burnout at bay but also nurtures sustained creativity.
Using scarcity, such as limited editions or exclusive releases, can enhance the value of your work.
However, it's important to balance this with accessibility to ensure you maintain a strong connection with your core audience.
In a culture flooded with easily consumable content, aim for depth.
Engage your audience with art that offers more than surface appeal—work that challenges, inspires, and enriches.
When your art is crafted with care and purpose, it not only stands out but also makes a lasting impact.

It's true that thoughtful work can leave a lasting impression. It's also true that thoughtful work can just get quickly buried by algorithms and overlooked, precisely because of that oversaturation of content you mentioned in your piece. I don't mean for that to sound cynical. I like your framing a lot! And I enjoy writing thoughtful deep dives myself, so I'm on board with the idea. I just think there's more to the story.
there's certainly more to the story. i write about many of those parts of the story as well. :) https://blog.epr.net/category/artists
Touché! I'll definitely take some more time to read your work. I've been really out of the loop for the past month or so, and I've only started catching up in the past few days. Any specific pieces you'd recommend re: "more to the story"?
there’s one of those quotes I resonate with. 🫡
